GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - The Latest on a South Carolina state trooper injured after a motorist hit his parked cruiser along Interstate 85. (all times local):

A South Carolina state trooper is recovering after a motorist plowed into his parked cruiser along Interstate 85.

Greenville County sheriff’s deputies said Sunday the motorist faces DUI and other charges after the crash late Saturday. A Highway Patrol spokeswoman said Sunday the unidentified trooper was treated and released from a hospital.

Greenville County Sheriff’s Sgt. Ryan Flood said in an email at the time of the accident the trooper was parked alongside northbound I-85 at White Horse Road, but outside the traffic lanes.

Deputies say a 2003 Honda Accord driven by 23 year-old Amber Faye Hamilton drifted off the highway before slamming into the highway patrol cruiser. Authorities say Hamilton also was charged with marijuana possession and other charges.
