EAST HUNTINGDON, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania county will receive help renovating an industrial plant through a state grant.

Westmoreland County commissioners announced they accepted a $2.5 million grant to replace the roof an old Sony plant in East Huntingdon. The Tribune-Review reports (https://bit.ly/2inHwGJ) the industrial space will be transformed into a multi-purpose facility after it is fully renovated.

Several businesses have already moved to the developing site including envelope manufacturer Cenveo. Westmoreland County Community College moved a workforce-development program to the Advanced Technology Center wing of the facility as well.

County officials say the site will cost $30 million and take five more years to complete. They expect to create 1,500 jobs.
