YORK, Pa. (AP) - Township police plan to hold a news conference on their investigation of a Philadelphia man’s body found burning in a rural area near York last week.

West Manchester Township police have scheduled the news conference for Friday morning.

Police found the burning body of 23-year-old Juan Acevedo DeJesus when they responded to a report of a fire about 4:45 a.m. Jan. 5.

The York County coroner determined DeJesus had been shot several times before his body was burned.

It’s not clear what police plan to announce at the news conference. No suspects have been identified so far.

West Manchester is about 100 miles west of Philadelphia.
