SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Gov. Jerry Brown has found a new job for a former state senator who lost his bid for Congress last fall.
The Democratic governor announced Friday that he had appointed 45-year-old Isadore Hall of Compton to the California Agricultural Labor Relations Board.
Hall, a fellow Democrat, served in the Assembly for six years and then in a state Senate seat representing Compton from 2014 to 2016, before he left to seek a seat in Congress. He also previously served on the Compton City Council and school board.
The Senate must confirm Hall to the post, which comes with a $142,095 salary.
