CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A Casper doctor and his wife charged with illegally selling prescription painkillers have been accused of violating conditions of their bond by contacting former patients who are potential witnesses in the case.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/2imvwbT ) that a federal judge issued arrest warrants Wednesday for Shakeel and Lyn Kahn. The order came a day after prosecutors accused the Kahns of making contact with at least three former patients.

The couple was ordered not to contact patients after being released on Dec. 2 in lieu of $20,000 and the title to their home in Fort Mojave, Arizona.

Court documents say Kahn took cash payments to prescribe Oxycodone to patients in Wyoming, Arizona and elsewhere who were then reselling it.

The couple’s lawyer didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment Wednesday.
