TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Republican Gov. Chris Christie has again defended President-elect Donald Trump on Fox News while again taking his fight against New Jersey’s opioid epidemic national.
Christie was interviewed on “Fox and Friends” on Wednesday morning.
Christie was asked about unsubstantiated reports that Russia had compromising personal and financial information about Trump.
He says he’s convinced in Trump’s denials about the reports. Christie says he wouldn’t be able to get out of bed in the morning if everything in opposition research reports about him were to be believed.
Christie also spoke about the initiatives he laid out in his state of the state address Tuesday to fight the state’s opioid epidemic.
He says people need to understand that drug addiction is a disease.
