CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) - The Bureau of Land Management is planning to roundup 700 wild horses from the Sulphur Wild Horse Management Area in western Utah.

The Deseret News reports (https://bit.ly/2j1gcAf ) that beginning Jan. 18, the agency will use helicopters to gatherer excess wild horses for either adoption or vaccination. The herd roams an area about 45 miles west of Milford, along the Nevada state line.

About 300 of the 700 horses captured will be taken from the management area for adoption. The remaining 400 horses will be returned and between 100 and 150 of those will be vaccinated.

The horses will be available for adoption through the BLM Wild Horse and Burro Adoption Program.
