ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - The Latest on New Mexico and President Obama’s farewell address. (all times local):

Around three dozen emotional Democratic activists gathered at an Albuquerque union hall to eat green chile stew and Native American Pueblo bread and watch Obama’s farewell address.
Some activists could be heard sniffling and be seen wiping tears within minutes into the president’s speech on Tuesday. They clapped when Obama mentioned the need to protect immigrants and fight for economic equality.
Juan Sanchez III said the speech for very emotional for him because Obama was the first president he voted for. Sanchez says the Affordable Care Act made it possible for him to receive treatment for my pre-existing condition.
Democrats around the country held watch parties to hear Obama’s final words as president.

New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez, a Republican, said Tuesday it’s up to the American people and for history to decide on what impact his presidency had on the country and the world.
Martinez often criticized the Obama Administration over the Affordable Care Act and policies dealing with endangered species.
As president, Obama rarely visited New Mexico and came under scrutiny for his deportations of immigrants and his administration’s response to Colorado’s Gold King Mine spill on the Navajo Nation.

Advocates in New Mexico are gathering at a union hall in Albuquerque Tuesday night to hear President Barack Obama say goodbye and thank his supporters.
Obama will deliver the speech in his adopted hometown of Chicago, and Democratic activists are planning watch parties around the country.
