BOSTON (AP) - U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren is questioning President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Ben Carson.

The Massachusetts Democrat said in a letter to Carson Tuesday that there’s little in the public record about how he would advance HUD’s mission to ’create strong, sustainable, inclusive communities and quality affordable homes for all.’

Warren says she’s trying to gauge Carson’s views of the agency’s mission to provide access to safe and stable housing for families in need, promote financial and housing independence, enforce federal housing laws, and respond to natural disasters and climate change.

Trump has praised his former rival for the GOP presidential nomination as “a greatly talented person who loves people.”

Warren has also said she’s troubled by Donald Trump’s pick for education secretary, Betsy DeVos.
