PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Police say a man found dead at the bottom of a Portland hillside likely died of hypothermia, and that he apparently had been living in the woods.

The 29-year-old whose body was found Tuesday morning is the third known person to die of exposure in Portland during a January cold spell that has included snow, ice and freezing rain.

Police were reaching out to the man’s relatives before releasing his name.

The wintry weather has increased risks for unsheltered people living in Portland.
