Macy’s is facing pressure to join rival department stores Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus in discontinuing products sold under first daughter Ivanka Trump’s eponymous label, Business Insider reported Sunday, citing as evidence postings on social media and an unnamed source from within the company.

“Nordstrom dumped Trump, please follow suit,” Business Insider quoted a sample posting on Macy’s Facebook page. “I would never put plastic Ivanka Trump boots on my little daughter.”

Business Insider said an unnamed source within the company expressed that they “hope” that sales of Ms. Trump’s apparel will be halted, in part because it’s already a financial liability for the retailer. “They can’t lose any more money than they already are,” the source said.

Business Insider noted that various items in the Ivanka Trump line are already marked down on steep discounts on the company website.

One such bargain, in a limited-time sale, is $35 for a pair of Ivanka Trump Lynna Block-Heel Booties. The imported shoes were originally priced at $140 and previously on sale for $98. Another limited-time bargain is a pair of imported black leather lace-up pumps, selling for $37.50, originally $150.

For her part, Ms. Trump’s fashion line insists there remains a strong demand for the product.

“The Ivanka Trump brand continues to expand across categories and distribution with increased customer support, leading us to experience significant year-over-year revenue growth in 2016,” Ivanka Trump marketing director Rosemary K. Young said in a Friday statement, Business Insider reported. “We believe that the strength of a brand is measured not only by the profits it generates, but the integrity it maintains.”
