It’s electric!
California-based electric car manufacturer Tesla has opened a downtown District location in the happening CityCenter neighborhood. At the showroom located on H Street NW, the completely electric Model S sedan and Model X SUV are now on display. Customers can personalize their vehicle choices with color and other desired add-ons at the shop.
The electric car manufacturer has moved into the showroom from its previous K Street location.
On a single charge the Model S, Model X and coming Model 3 allow for travel of 335 miles, 295 miles and 215, respectively. The onboard navigation system, with its large interface, shows the driver how much charge is left and the relative distance the car can still travel. Furthermore, the interface also tells the driver the locations of charging stations. There are two District-area charging stations Laurel and Woodbridge.
Unlike other vehicle manufacturers, Tesla does not have third-party dealers.
