TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Sterling Brown scored 24 of his 27 points in the second half and SMU rolled past Tulsa for a 76-53 win Saturday night.
Shake Milton added 19 points, Semi Ojeleye had 16 and Ben Moore collected 10 rebounds for SMU (20-4, 10-1 American), which shot 49 percent from the field to pick up its sixth straight win. Brown was 9 of 15 from the field and his 24 second-half points were the most by a Mustang since 2011.
Jarrey Foster’s dunk with 6:31 left before intermission made it 20-19 and put SMU on top for good as the Mustangs continued to pull away while holding Tulsa scoreless over the final seven minutes of the first half.
Earlier in the opening half, Tulsa (12-10, 6-4) took its only lead of the game during a 12-2 run that made it 19-16.
Junior Etou led Tulsa with 18 points and Sterling Taplin had 12.
