BRANDON, Fla. (AP) - The lawyer for a man accused of killing his wife and her partner says his client was angered by their relationship.
Tampa attorney Ralph Fernandez tells the Tampa Bay Times (https://bit.ly/2m3134N ) that 53-year-old Vincente Fuillerat considered Lisa Fuillerat’s romance with Samara Routenberg “immoral.”
Police say Fuillerat donned a bullet-proof vest, broke into Routenberg’s Brandon home and fatally shot both women before killing himself. Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies found a note pinned to his body.
Melissa A. Wilson, who represented Lisa Fuillerat in divorce proceedings, said both women were afraid “something like this might transpire.” They separated in 2014. The Fuillerats had two adult children.
Records show it wasn’t the first time he’d threatened them. According to an affidavit, he injured Routenberg in October during a confrontation at her home.
