SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - A block of a main avenue in the heart of San Francisco was shut down for about two hours after a bomb threat was received in the offices of the Anti-Defamation League.
San Francisco Police Capt. Teresa Ewins says the 700 block of Market Street was closed off Monday after the ADL’s receptionist received a bomb threat over the phone.
Ewins says the ADL building and several other nearby businesses and offices were evacuated.
Officers went through each floor and reopened the area at around 7 p.m.
ADL CEO Jonathan A. Greenblatt says the ADL has received more than 90 reports of anti-Semitic incidents or threats against children’s schools and community centers since the beginning of the year.
