JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Dallas Moore and Aaron Bodager combined for 45 points as North Florida edged Jacksonville 73-69 in a regular-season finale on Thursday night and set up an instant rematch between the crosstown rivals in the upcoming Atlantic Sun Conference tournament.
The win gave North Florida (13-18, 8-6) the third seed in the A-Sun while Jacksonville (17-14, 5-9) claimed the sixth seed. The two meet again Monday at North Florida in a quarterfinal.
Darien Fernandez hit a 3-pointer that pulled Jacksonville to within 72-69 with 19 seconds left, but the Dolphins fouled Moore with nine seconds on the clock and he made 1 of 2 free throws to make it a two-possession game. Moore also rebounded a Fernandez missed 3-pointer with three seconds left and North Florida ran out the clock.
Moore finished with 25 points, four 3-pointers and six assists for the Ospreys while Bodager knocked down six treys and finished with 20 points.
