Gov. John Carney is conducting “Budget Reset” community meetings in all three counties to address a potential upcoming budget shortfall.

Media outlets report that Carney says if Delaware’s expected revenue for the upcoming fiscal year of $3.9 billion falls short of its projected expenditures of nearly $4.3 billion, then the state has a $400 million problem.

Carney is holding the “Budget Reset” meetings to gain input on the best ways that people think the state can make more money, lessen expenditures, or a combination of both. The Delaware State News reports (https://bit.ly/2mgH8NL) that Carney’s fourth Budget Reset meeting was held Wednesday inside “packed” council chambers at Dover’s City Hall.

Carney plans to continue hosting Budget Reset meetings in the coming weeks throughout the state.
