ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. (AP) - The company that bought the former IBM computer chipmaking facility in Essex Junction, Vermont, is looking to hire 200 people.

GlobalFoundries took over IBM’s chipmaking operations in 2015 and invested $72 million in the plant. It also acquired an IBM plant in New York.

WCAX-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2m7IugU) the company is looking to hire workers in production, manufacturing, information technology and engineering.

Global has maintained about 2,800 employees.
