EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Southwestern Indiana police say officers subdued a man with a stun gun after he allegedly rammed a patrol car with his vehicle.
Jeremiah C. Jones was arrested Monday night in Evansville. The 32-year-old Fort Branch man faces several preliminary charges, including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
The Evansville Courier & Press reports (https://bit.ly/2ls8tMR ) officers were investigating a complaint that Jones wouldn’t leave his sister’s home when he allegedly returned to the scene and rammed a Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s deputy’s car with his sport-utility vehicle.
The impact shattered the patrol car’s windows, leaving the deputy inside with a cut to his knee.
When Jones allegedly opened the patrol car’s passenger-side door, the injured deputy inside held Jones at gunpoint until other officers used a stun gun twice to subdue him.
