LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police in Las Vegas say they’ve arrested three teens in the slaying of the mother of one of them more than two years ago.

Officer Michael Rodriguez said Tuesday a female age 18 and two males, both aged 19, were being held at the Clark County jail pending court appearances on murder, conspiracy and robbery with a weapon charges.

Police say the three were juveniles when the crime occurred. They’re expected to be charged as adults.

The Clark County coroner says 41-year-old Julia Lopez-Maravilla had been strangled. Police say she also used the name Julia Garcia.

Her body was found in November 2014, wrapped in plastic off remote State Route 147 near Lake Mead.

Police say Lopez-Maravilla was last seen at home in northeast Las Vegas some 10 days before her body was found.
