BEAR, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police are seeking a man they say stole cash from a dollar store in the Bear area.

Police say a man entered the Dollar General in Bear on Sunday and put an item on the counter as if he were going to buy it. Police say that when the clerk opened the cash register, the man lunged for the cash.

Police say the man was able to grab an undisclosed amount of cash from the drawer after a struggle with the clerk before fleeing. The clerk wasn’t injured.

Police say the suspect is a black man between 45 and 50 years old. Police say he was wearing a green jacket and blue jeans.
