The reactions of the most recent Sacramento Kings-New Orleans Pelicans trade aren’t playing into the Kings’ favor.

On Monday, Sacramento sent center DeMarcus Cousins and forward Omri Casspi to New Orleans for shooting guards Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway, a 2017 first round draft pick and a 2017 second round draft pick.

Many believe that the Pelicans acquired the top center in the NBA, while the Kings traded for an unproven 23-year-old in Hield, two journeymen guards and draft picks.

Boston Celtics point guard Isiah Thomas was a bit outspoken on the trade, stating that the move would even be laughed at in a popular NBA video game.

And, as it turns out, Thomas is right. Ronnie 2K, a source for NBA 2K news, ran the trade through 2K’s My GM mode…and it was denied rather rudely by Sacramento.

New Orleans is happy with the steal. With Cousins and Anthony Davis, the Pelicans now can arguably boast they have the most talented frontcourt in the NBA.
