SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Authorities have found the body of a missing 19-year-old Utah man believed to have gotten lost on his way to a job interview before his vehicle got stuck in a remote area.

Tooele County Sheriff’s Lt. Ron Johnson says Johnny Doerr’s body was found Tuesday. He died from exposure to the cold.

Police say Doerr’s vehicle got stuck in a deep snowbank last week and that the teen tried digging the car out before walking to get help.

His family reported him missing when he didn’t return home that afternoon.

Johnson says the temperature had been between 0 and 19 degrees at the time.

Doerr leaves behind a girlfriend, with whom he was expecting a daughter in just a few weeks.
