Kim Jong-nam, the estranged half-brother of Kim Jong-un, the Stalinist dictator of North Korea, died by a strange poison in a Malaysian airport last week, apparently assaulted and assassinated by North Korean agents in Kuala Lumpur. Four suspects have been arrested with passports from North Korea and several other Asian countries.

The Associated Press reported Sunday that Kim Jong-nam was waiting for his flight home to Macau when he was greeted by two women. Malaysia’s deputy national police chief Noor Rashid said Kim approached an airline customs service desk for help and “two unidentified women had swabbed or had wiped his face with a liquid and that he felt dizzy.”

Officials say Kim died en route to a hospital after suffering a seizure, the AP reported. Kim Jong-nam had been a vocal critic of his half-brother’s regime.

North Korea has become enraged that the Malaysian police are conducting a second autopsy on the body, saying they will “reject” the findings.

“We are investigating a case of murder … we just follow our rules and regulations,” Mr. Rashid said.

“Considering North Korea has so far committed crimes against humanity and terror acts, we, together with the international community, are closely watching this brutal, reckless incident with serious concerns,” South Korean Unification Ministry spokesman Jeong Joon Hee told reporters.

President Trump is right to want to finally deal seriously with North Korea.
