Rep. Chris Collins, the first sitting congressman to endorse President Trump’s candidacy, said Friday that Mr. Trump himself is “relaxed” and “focused,” but that the president’s frustration with the news media surfaced in Thursday’s press conference.

“Yesterday was a unique day,” said Mr. Collins, who was at the White House for a meeting with president and other congressmen Thursday. “He’s relaxed, he’s focused — he’s got his team working very well.”

“And what you’re seeing, I think, is simply a little frustration, or a lot of frustration, with the way the news media is covering things,” Mr. Collins, New York Republican, said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

“I would say frustration with the news media,” Mr. Collins said when asked what headline he would put on the president’s approximately 80-minute press conference.
