According to Forbes.com, the Washington Wizards rank as the 18th most valuable NBA franchise with a value of $1 billion.

The same list also says the value of the Wizards has risen by just four percent since last year. However, the Wizards only generate $155 million, the fourth-lowest revenue total in the NBA.

The New York Knicks rank as the NBA’s most valuable franchise with a value of $3.3 billion. The Los Angeles Lakers rank second with $3 billion. The New Orleans Pelicans are the least-valuable franchise, with just $750 million in current value.

It’s not exactly an encouraging figure for the Wizards, but it will be interesting to see how much the value of the franchise grows after a successful season. Washington has gone on an incredible 17-5 run since the start of 2017. The Wizards have even shot up to third place in the Eastern Conference with a 33-21 record.
