For whatever reason, being the last player off the ice means a lot to some players in the NHL, and, traditionally, the same guys on each team are generally given the responsibility.
For the Dallas Stars, it’s forward Tyler Seguin, and for the Winnipeg Jets, it’s forward Mark Scheifele.
In October, the two settle the score with a rock-paper-scissors contest, and it was Scheifele who won the honors.
But in the most recent Stars-Jets matchup, Seguin didn’t exactly play fair. Instead of lining up for another game of rock-paper-scissors, Seguin tricked Scheifele into stepping off the ice first. Take a look.
It was Scheifele who got the last laugh, though, as his Jets walked away with the 5-2 victory.
