For no apparent reason whatsoever, Mr. Met, the New York Mets mascot, was being mean to Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard.
Mr. Met dug up a picture of a young Syndergaard, and he doesn’t exactly look flattering in the photo.
Looking for a #ValentinesDay date? I NOAH guy. 😜 pic.twitter.com/I7lbMAeT19

The 24-year-old pitcher took notice of the jab and immediately called out his apparently evil mascot.
@MrMet I already have plans tonight with someone. Pretty sure you know her……

…But since Mr. Met has all the answers, he immediately jumped on Syndergaard again.
@Noahsyndergaard I do…Please tell your mom I say hi! 👋

The latest burn caused Syndergaard to slyly threaten his mascot.
@MrMet Oh you done messed up now. pic.twitter.com/WmE34qaVMh

Syndergaard is coming off of an All Star year, an eighth-place finish in the National League Cy Young award and a fourth-place finish in strikeouts with 218. If there is some sort of feud going on between Syndergaard and the Mets, there would likely be many, many takers for the pitcher, even if there are thousands of awkward photos taken of him when he was 15 or so.
