CENTRAL

BASTROP: Water stained; 63-67 degrees. Black bass are very good on watermelon and watermelon red spinnerbaits, crankbaits, Rat-L-Traps, and soft plastics. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait, shrimp, and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.

BELTON: Water stained; 55-60 degrees; 0.81 feet high. Black bass are fair on chartreuse Rat-L-Traps and spinnerbaits. Hybrid striper are good on live shad and horsehead jigs. White bass are good on slabs and spoons. Crappie are good on minnows under lights at night. Channel and blue catfish are good on shrimp and live bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

BROWNWOOD: Water stained; 63-67 degrees; 0.27 feet high. Black bass are good on black/blue Bass Hogg jigs, Persuader crankbaits, and GrandeBass 4-inch Trickster worms over brush piles. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies and spinnerbaits off lighted docks at night. Crappie are fair on Li’l Fishies and minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are fair on cut bait and nightcrawlers over baited holes. Yellow catfish are slow.

BUCHANAN: Water stained; 65-69 degrees; 2.64 feet low. Black bass are good on chartreuse/black Curb’s hair jigs and Carolina rigged black lizards along ledges in 12-20 feet. Striped bass are fair on white/chartreuse striper jigs. White bass are fair on small spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles in 12-15 feet. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

CANYON LAKE: Water stained; 64-68 degrees; 0.32 feet high. Black bass are good on 1/8-oz. watermelon/black Texas rigged worms and Rat-L-Traps off points. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on white spinnerbaits and Li’l Fishies. Crappie are fair on minnows upriver. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

COLEMAN: Water stained; 65-69 degrees; 1.31 feet low. Black bass are fair on soft plastics and Rat-L-Traps. Hybrid striper are fair on chartreuse striper jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are good on stinkbait and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLORADO RIVER: (At Colorado Bend State Park) No report available.

FAYETTE: Water murky. Black bass are good on green pumpkin Carolina rigged soft plastics, spinnerbaits, Rat-L-Traps, Senkos, flukes, and soft plastics. Channel and blue catfish are slow.

GRANBURY: Water stained; 63-67 degrees; 0.11 feet low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are fair on silver striper jigs. White bass are fair on chartreuse spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and white tube jigs. Catfish are slow.

GRANGER: Water stained; 62-66 degrees; 0.21 feet high. Black bass are fair on chartreuse/black soft plastic worms. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Blue catfish are fair on prepared baits in 8-18 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

LBJ: Water stained; 64-68 degrees; 2.21 feet low. Black bass are good on watermelon Rat-L-Traps and wacky rigged green pumpkin Whacky Sticks in 6-12 feet. White bass are fair vertically jigging Pirk Minnows under birds. Crappie are fair on Curb’s crappie jigs and live minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are fair on minnows under docks. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

NAVARRO MILLS: Water stained; 64-68 degrees; 0.13 feet high. Black bass are fair chartreuse Rat-L-Traps. White bass are good on silver slabs. Crappie are fair on chartreuse tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

PROCTOR: Water stained; 62-66 degrees; 0.25 feet low. Black bass are fair on watermelon crankbaits and soft plastic worms. Striped bass are fair on chartreuse striper jigs. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles in 10-18 feet. Channel and blue catfish are good on live shad and goldfish. Yellow catfish are slow.

SOMERVILLE: Water murky; 63-67 degrees; 0.02 feet high. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are fair on white striper jigs. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and black tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are fair on stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

STILLHOUSE HOLLOW: Water murky; 62-66 degrees; 0.22 feet high. Black bass are fair on watermelon crankbaits and Rat-L-Traps. White bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are fair on stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

TRAVIS: Water stained; 65-69 degrees; 1.41 feet high. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastic worms and crawfish crankbaits in 12-20 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on minnows and chrome jigging spoons in 25-40 feet. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue/white tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shrimp and cut shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

WALTER E. LONG: Water murky. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are good on chartreuse striper jigs. White bass are good on minnows and pet spoons. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

WHITNEY: Water stained; 65-69 degrees; 2.99 feet low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse spinnerbaits. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on minnows and Li’l Fishies. Crappie are good on minnows and blue tube jigs. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and stinkbait.

NORTHEAST

ATHENS: Water lightly stained; 53-57 degrees; 0.39 feet high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged worms, bladed jigs and spinnerbaits. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines and cut shad.

BOB SANDLIN: Water lightly stained; 52-56 degrees; 0.34 feet high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged creature baits, lipless crankbaits and squarebill crankbaits. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are slow on slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines and prepared bait.

BONHAM: Water stained; 51-54 degrees; 2.82 feet low. Black bass are slow on jerkbaits, jigs and bladed jigs. Crappie are slow on minnows and jigs along creek channels. Catfish are good drifting cut bait.

BRIDGEPORT: Water lightly stained, 51-55 degrees: 0.38 feet high. Black bass are slow on finesse jigs, lipless crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Crappie are slow on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

CADDO: Water stained; 54-58 degrees; 0.70 feet high. Black bass are good on Texas rigged craws, lipless crankbaits and bladed jigs. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

CEDAR CREEK: Water stained; 51-55 degrees; 0.03 feet high. Black bass are fair on lipless crankbaits, Texas rigged craws and bladed jigs. White bass are fair on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs. Crappie are slow on minnows, Catfish are fair on trotlines.

COOPER: Water stained to muddy; 3.71 feet low. No report available.

FAIRFIELD: Water lightly stained; 67-75 degrees; 0.01 feet low. Black bass fair on Texas rigged craws, spinnerbaits and soft jerkbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish no report. Redfish no report.

FORK: Water lightly stained; 52-55 degrees; 2.20 feet low. Black bass are fair on squarebill crankbaits, bladed jigs and lipless crankbaits. White and yellow bass are fair on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines.

GRAPEVINE: Water stained; 51-54 degrees; 0.56 feet high. Black bass are slow on suspending jerkbaits, weightless Senkos and bladed jigs in shad patterns. White bass and hybrid bass are fair on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on prepared bait.

JOE POOL: Water lightly stained; 51-55 degrees; 0.17 feet high. Black bass are slow on weightless Senkos, bladed jigs and spinnerbaits. White bass are fair on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are slow on trotlines.

LAKE O’ THE PINES: Water lightly stained; 54-57 degrees: 0.75 feet high. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits, bladed jigs and weightless Flukes. White bass are fair on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

LAVON: Water stained; 52-55 degrees: 2.74 feet low. Black bass are fair on squarebill crankbaits, lipless crankbaits and bladed jigs. White bass are fair on slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are slow on trotlines.

LEWISVILLE: Water stained; 51-54 degrees; 0.27 feet high. Black bass are fair on suspending jerkbaits, bladed jigs and soft jerkbaits. White bass are fair on slabs and minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines.

MARTIN CREEK: Water lightly stained; 78-83 degrees; 0.98 feet low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits, bladed jigs, and Texas rig craws. Crappie are fair on minnows and white jigs. White bass are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

RAY HUBBARD: Water lightly stained; 51-54 degrees; 0.77 feet low. Black bass are slow on spinnerbaits, bladed jigs and shakyhead worms. Crappie are good on minnows and white jigs. White bass are fair on slabs. Hybrid striper are slow on slabs. Catfish are good on trotlines and cut shad.

RAY ROBERTS: Water stained; 50-53 degrees; 0.28 feet high. Black bass are slow on lipless crankbaits, weightless Flukes and spinnerbaits. White bass are fair on slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

RICHLAND CHAMBERS: Water lightly stained; 50-54 degrees; 0.61 feet low. Black bass are fair on bladed jigs, Texas rigged craws and weightless Senkos. White bass are slow on slabs and minnows. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines.

TAWAKONI: Water stained; 52-56 degrees; 2.65 feet low. Black bass are slow on bladed jigs, lipless crankbaits and flipping jigs. White bass are good on slabs and minnows. Hybrid bass are good on slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

TEXOMA: Water stained; 50-53 degrees; 1.37 feet low. Black bass are fair on suspending jerkbaits, umbrella rigs and weightless Flukes. Crappie are good on minnows and chartreuse jigs. Striped bass are good on slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

WEATHERFORD: Water lightly stained; 0.37 feet low. No report available.

WRIGHT PATMAN: Water stained; 3.65 feet high. No report available.

SOUTH

AMISTAD: Water murky; 66-70 degrees; 20.34 feet low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits, crankbaits, jerkbaits, and soft plastics. Striped bass are good on slabs and small crankbaits under birds. White bass are good on slabs and small crankbaits under birds. Catfish are good over baited holes. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

BRAUNIG: Water murky. Black bass are fair on watermelon crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are fair on liver and shad near Dead Tree Point. Redfish are slow. Channel catfish are very good on liver, shrimp, cheesebait, and cut bait. Blue catfish are fair on cut bait.

CALAVERAS: Water murky. Black bass are fair on chartreuse Rat-L-Traps, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits near the dam. Striped bass are good on silver spoons and jigs near the dam. Redfish are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on nightcrawlers, shrimp, and cheesebait. Yellow catfish are slow.

CHOKE CANYON: Water stained; 64-68 degrees; 20.12 feet low. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastic worms and lizards. White bass are good on chartreuse spinnerbaits and Li’l Fishies. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shrimp and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are fair on live perch.

COLETO CREEK: Water murky; 81 degrees at the hot water discharge, 68 degrees in main lake; 1.98 feet low. Black bass to 6 pounds are good on dark spinnerbaits and crankbaits in 8-10 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs at Coletoville Bridge in 8-12 feet. Channel and blue catfish to 8 pounds are good on live perch and shad in 8-10 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

FALCON: Water murky; 65-69 degrees; 30.75 feet low. Black bass are good on chartreuse soft plastics and crankbaits. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on frozen shrimp and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

SOUTHEAST

CONROE: Water stained; 63-67 degrees; 0.03 feet high. Black bass are good on watermelon soft plastics, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait, liver, and frozen shrimp.

GIBBONS CREEK: Water stained. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastic worms and crankbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on shrimp and stinkbait.

HOUSTON COUNTY: Water stained; 63-67 degrees; 0.14 feet high. Black bass to 9 pounds are very good on black, dark blue, green, plum, or plum/apple worms. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows. Bream are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with perch and shad.

LIVINGSTON: Water stained; 64-68 degrees; 0.18 feet high. Black bass are fair on watermelon/white spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Blue catfish are good on cut bait and shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

SAM RAYBURN: Water stained; 65-69 degrees; 1.43 feet low. Black bass are slow. White bass are fair on slabs and pet spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows and pink tube jigs. Bream are fair on worms. Catfish are fair on liver and stinkbait.

STEINHAGEN: 1.72 feet high. No report available.

TOLEDO BEND: Water stained; 64-68 degrees; 2.95 feet low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and white tube jigs. Bream are good on worms. Channel and blue catfish are good on frozen shrimp, cut bait, and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

PANHANDLE

GREENBELT: 31 feet low. Black bass are fair on shallow running crankbaits and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair on live minnows.

MACKENZIE: 73.68 feet low. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers.

MEREDITH: 60.46 feet low. TPWD has begun restocking the lake with Walleye. Reports of black bass are rare. No reports of smallmouth bass. Bream and channel catfish are being caught in good numbers.

PALO DURO: 57.8 feet low. No report available.

WEST

ALAN HENRY: Water clear on the main lake, stained toward the river; 50 degrees; 1.74 feet low. Black bass are slow on jigs and medium or shallow diving crankbaits. Crappie and bass are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on rod and reel with punchbait on a #6 treble hook up the river.

ARROWHEAD: Water fairly clear; 49-56 degrees; 0.68 feet low. Black bass are fair on finesse jigs, Texas rigs and slow rolled spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers.

COLORADO CITY: 12.99 feet low. No report available.

FORT PHANTOM HILL: Water murky; 50-56 degrees; 0.26 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, drop shot rigs and slow rolled spinnerbaits with a Colorado blade. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers.

HUBBARD CREEK: Water off color; 51-55 degrees; 0.48 feet low. Black bass are fair on black/blue jigs, chatterbaits and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair to good on jigs and minnows. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

NASWORTHY: 49-55 degrees; 1.44 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on jigs, Texas rigs and DT10s. No reports on crappie. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

OAK CREEK: Water stained; 48-56 degrees; 8.91 feet low. Black bass are fair on drop shot rigs, Texas rigs and shakyheads. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on chartreuse (use Worn-Glo) nightcrawlers.

O.H. IVIE: Water stained; 49-56 degrees; 33.6 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, swimjigs and shakyheads. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on cut bait and nightcrawlers.

POSSUM KINGDOM: Water off color; 48-55 degrees; 0.05 feet high. Black bass are fair to good on drop shot rigs, Texas rigs and shakyheads. Crappie are fair on live minnows. White bass are fair to good on slabs. Striped bass are fair on live shad. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers.

SPENCE: 50 feet low. No report available.

STAMFORD: 0.36 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs and jigs. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows. White bass are fair to good on minnows and Rooster Tails. Blue catfish are fair to good on cut and live bait.

SWEETWATER: Water off color; 47-53 degrees; 22.69 feet low. No report available.

WHITE RIVER: Water stained; 45-52 degrees; 19.59 feet low. Black bass are very slow (the bass population was greatly reduced during the drought). No reports on crappie. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

COASTAL

NORTH SABINE: Trout are fair to good on the Louisiana shoreline on topwaters and Corkies. Flounder are fair on jigs tipped with shrimp around marsh drains.

SOUTH SABINE: Sheepshead and black drum are good at the jetty on live shrimp. Trout are fair to good around Lighthouse Cove on topwaters.

BOLIVAR: Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on soft plastics and plugs. Black drum and redfish are good at Rollover Pass.

TRINITY BAY: Trout are fair for drifters working deep shell on Bass Assassins, Corkies and MirrOlures. Redfish are fair at the spillway and in the marsh.

EAST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on Soft-Dines, MirrOlures and topwaters. Whiting and sand trout are good on the edge of the Intracoastal on fresh shrimp. Black drum are fair to good in the Ship Channel on crabs.

WEST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair to good for drifters working shell on live shrimp. Trout are fair in the mud and shell on topwaters and Corkies in the afternoon. Sheepshead, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on shrimp and crabs.

TEXAS CITY: Black drum are good in the channel on crabs. Sand trout and whiting are good from the piers on fresh shrimp.

FREEPORT: Sand trout and sheepshead are good on live shrimp on the reefs. Black drum are good at the jetties on cracked blue crabs.

EAST MATAGORDA BAY: Trout are fair to good for drifters on live shrimp and soft plastics over humps and scattered shell. Redfish are fair to good on the edge of the Intracoastal on crabs and mullet.

WEST MATAGORDA BAY: Redfish are fair to good on the edge of Oyster Lake and at Shell Island on shrimp and crabs. Trout are fair on shell and grass on soft plastics. Black drum are fair to good at the jetty on crabs.

PORT O’CONNOR: Trout and redfish are good on topwaters over soft mud in waist-deep water in San Antonio Bay. Trout and redfish are fair for drifters working the back lakes with live shrimp.

ROCKPORT: Trout are fair to good in Morris-Cummings Cut on free-lined shrimp. Black drum are good in the Lydia Ann Channel on crabs. Trout are fair over grass while drifting with live shrimp.

PORT ARANSAS: Redfish are fair to good at East Flats on shrimp. Black drum are good in the Shrimpboat Channel on crabs and finger mullet. Redfish, black drum and sheepshead are fair to good at the jetty on shrimp.

CORPUS CHRISTI: Trout are fair to good on the edge of the spoils on Gulps and live shrimp. Black drum are good in the Humble Channel at night on crabs and table shrimp.

BAFFIN BAY: Trout are fair while wading mud and grass on Corkies and topwaters. Black drum are good in the Land Cut on crabs. Trout are fair to good in the Land Cut on live shrimp.

PORT MANSFIELD: Trout are fair to good on topwaters around sand and grass at Green Island. Redfish are fair to good while drifting pot holes on Gulps and shrimp.

SOUTH PADRE: Trout are good around the spoil islands, channel edges and color changes on DOA Shrimp in 3-4 feet of water. Black drum and redfish have been taken at the jetty.

PORT ISABEL: Snook are fair in the Brownsville Ship Channel on free-lined shrimp. Trout and redfish are fair to good at Gas Well Flats on live shrimp. Redfish are fair at Three Island on small topwaters and soft plastics under rattling corks.
