WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Bank of America is selling two of its three remaining office buildings in downtown Wilmington.
Company spokesman Tony Allen tells The News Journal of Wilmington (https://delonline.us/2kSvM3C) that Bracebridge I and Bracebridge III are both being put on the market Wednesday.
Allen says the sale is not the result of any staffing changes that the bank has or will be making in Delaware.
Bank of America will keep Bracebridge II. Allen says they plan to consolidate the Wilmington staff into that building after the sale.
Wilmington Mayor Mike Purzycki says he doesn’t believe Bank of America’s building sale portends issues for the company going forward.
The $245 billion Charlotte, North Carolina-based bank doesn’t release local employment numbers. It’s unclear exactly how many employees work out of the two buildings being sold.
