PHOENIX (AP) - An Arizona Democrat has filed to run for governor next year, challenging current Republican Gov. Doug Ducey.

The Arizona Capitol Times reports (https://bit.ly/2lPsFbc ) that 36-year-old Glendale marketing executive Noah Dyer announced his candidacy Tuesday morning. He is the first Democrat to officially enter the race.

Dyer says he switched his political affiliation from independent to Democrat for the election. He has never run for political office and faces an uphill fundraising battle.

Dyer says he is a fluent Spanish speaker, a hobby stage hypnotist, a former Mormon, a divorced father of four and a former homeless person.

He also revealed details of his sex life in an attempt to pre-empt opposition researchers and mentioned his attempt to be on live camera for a year to draw attention to government spying.
