ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Justin Robinson made eight 3-pointers and scored 40 points, both career highs, and Monmouth beat Siena 102-82 on Monday night for its program record 12th straight win.

It was the first meeting of the season between the top two teams in the MAAC preseason poll. The Hawks have won 6 of 7 in the series since joining the conference.

Monmouth went on a 15-1 run - capped by six straight points from Robinson - for a 72-60 lead midway through the second half. Siena went without a field goal for over five minutes during the run.

Je’lon Hornbeak added three 3-pointers and 18 points for Monmouth (22-5, 14-2). Robinson was 14 of 20 from the field, including 8 of 13 from distance and made all four of his free throws. He also had six rebounds and three assists.

Marquis Wright hit six 3-pointers and scored a career-high 36 points for Siena (12-15, 9-7). He made 8 of 10 free throws and Javion Ogunyemi had 16 points and seven rebounds.

Monmouth coach King Rice won his 100th career game.
