Comic Tom Arnold accused one of the woman who claimed Sen. Al Franken forcibly kissed her of being “coached.”

In a series of tweets late Wednesday, Mr. Arnold said he believed Leeann Tweeden was “coached” by Roger Stone, a longtime friend of President Trump.

“I’m disappointed with my friend Leeann Tweedon. Her partner at KABC John Phillips is a Roger Stone pal & they coached her for weeks to bring Al Franken down. I’d hoped she’d use her voice to speak out for all women again predators like Roy Moore & Donald Trump but she’s a birther,” Mr. Arnold tweeted.

Mr. Phillips is also a CNN contributor and denied the allegation.

Notably, Mr. Arnold misspelled Ms. Tweeden’s name in his initial tweet spelling her name “Tweedon,” something Mr. Phillips pointed out.

Ms. Tweeden accused Mr. Franken of forcibly kissing her during a USO tour in 2006. There is also a now widely circulated photo of Mr. Franken putting his hands on her chest suggestively while she slept. Ms. Tweeden is currently a Los Angeles-based television and radio host.

Mr. Arnold said he spoke with Ms. Tweeden, who claimed she told him she never wanted Mr. Franken to be fired.
