DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Erin Mathias scored a career-high 24 points, Lexie Brown was close to a quadruple-double and No. 14 Duke rolled to an 85-54 win over UNC Greensboro on Thursday night.
Mathias did her damage on 12-of-18 shooting for the Blue Devils (7-2), who shot a season-high 62 percent in the first half and finished at 57 percent for the game. Brown had 20 points, nine assists, eight steals, which tied her career high, and seven rebounds.
Bego Faz Davalos, a 6-foot-3 graduate transfer from Fresno State where she was the two-time Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year, made her first start for the Blue Devils. She had four points and six rebounds.
Rebecca Greenwell entered the game with 251 3-pointers, one behind the Duke career record set by Tricia Liston (2011-14) but missed all five of her shots behind the arc and finished with seven points.
Alexus Willey had 15 points for the Spartans (4-5), who shot 31 percent and trailed 44-29 at the half.
Duke broke the game open with a 15-2 run in the third quarter and finished with 30 points after 22 Greensboro turnovers.
