BALTIMORE (AP) - Police in Baltimore have so far not named any suspects in the shooting death of a volunteer firefighter.

WBAL reported Monday that the family of Jon Hickey is calling for the person responsible to turn his or herself in. The family is also asking anyone with information to come forward.

According to The Baltimore Sun’s homicide map , Hickey’s death is the 322nd homicide this year.

He was found dead Thursday in his Baltimore home. Police had gone to the home for a well-being check.

Hickey had just been accepted to the Baltimore City Fire Academy. He was following the footsteps of his grandfather.

Hickey had lived in Baltimore for about five years. The family doesn’t believe robbery was a motive.
