ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - General Electric says it is no longer closing a plant in Rochester.

WHAM-TV reports GE announced Tuesday it would keep its plant open in the Rochester Science Park. The Boston-based company said the decision came after an operations review.

GE had announced in August the plant would be closed by June. Company officials had said the plant’s closure would affect less than 100 employees. The company had planned to move the work to China.

The Rochester plant assembles electronic boards.
