BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Anthony Lamb scored 20 points and Trae Bell-Haynes scored 16 and Vermont never trailed in an 80-73 win against Quinnipiac on Thursday night.

After Jacob Rigoni’s back-to-back 3s tied it at 13, the Catamounts posted a 10-0 run and on their way to a 39-26 halftime lead. Ernie Duncan’s jumper with three minutes left put Vermont up 71-59 before Quinnipiac closed the deficit to five points with 75 seconds to go.

Vermont sealed the win from the free-throw line, missing just one its last 10 attempts.

Ernie Duncan chipped in 11 points and Everett Duncan added 10 for Vermont (8-5) which reached 80 points for the third straight game.

Cameron Young scored 18 for Quinnipiac (3-9), Rigoni 17, and Isaiah Washington and Rich Kelly 12 each. The Bobcats have lost three straight and four of their last five.

The two teams combined to commit only 15 turnovers.
