BOSTON (AP) - Two Massachusetts men say a trailer of supplies intended for victims of Hurricane Harvey was sitting in Tennessee for months after it broke down and was abandoned by volunteers working with former major league pitcher Curt Schilling’s charity.

Keith Tobin and Tom Latham told NBC Boston on Tuesday that they were planning to drive down themselves to retrieve the trailer. Latham said he’ll drop off donated items to an animal shelter along the way.

A representative for Schilling did not respond to the station’s request for comment Tuesday, but Latham said the Schillings later offered to pay for gas and tolls to the get the trailer back.

Operation Blessing International, a Texas-based charity, says they helped distribute supplies from at least one other trailer as part of Schilling’s relief effort.
