Rep. Sean Duffy said Wednesday the tax bill has been more transparent than the health care bill.
“Obamacare, they actually brought the bill to the floor and members saw it as it went to the floor,” Mr. Duffy, Wisconsin Republican, said on CNN.
“There was a four-day hearing in the House Ways and Means Committee — four days, all day long — over a month ago. The bill text has been out there a long time,” he said of the Republican tax plan.
Mr. Duffy acknowledges that he has not read the over 500-page bill, but said that anyone can read the text of the bill online.
Republicans passed tax reform late Tuesday into early Wednesday. The bill heads back to the House for a revote due to a procedural issue before heading to President Trump.
