Rosie O’Donnell lashes out at Ben Shapiro after her GOP bribery tweet: ‘Suck my d-‘

Entertainer Rosie O’Donnell had choice words for conservative author Ben Shapiro this week after a $2 million bribery attempt of Republican officials went viral: “Suck my d—.”

The liberal comedian and steadfast Donald Trump critic appeared to have no idea on Tuesday night that serious efforts to pay lawmakers for votes might land her in prison for over a decade. Miss O’Donnell reacted in anger when pundits pointed out the illegality in her efforts to buy off Republican Sens. Jeff Flake and Susan Collins on pending tax-reform legislation.

“so how about this,” the former co-host of ABC’s “The View” wrote in tweet devoid of punctuation. “i promise to give 2 million dollars to senator susan collins and 2 million to senator jeff flake if they vote NO NO I WILL NOT KILL AMERICANS FOR THE SUOER [sic] RICH DM me susan DM me jeff no shit 2 million cash each”

Conservative columnist Jeff Jacoby of the Boston Globe and Daily Wire Editor in Chief Ben Shapiro riled up the comedian by exposing the criminality of her “no s—” bribe.

“Here’s a fun fact, @Rosie: Under 18 U.S. Code §201, offering $4 million in bribes to senators to influence a vote is punishable with up to $12m in fines and/or imprisonment for as much as 15 years,” Mr. Jacoby replied.

“If Trump orders Sessions to investigate Rosie, he will be carved into Rushmore by Friday,” tweeted Mr. Shapiro, a graduate of Harvard Law School.

“suck my d— ben” Miss O’Donnell countered.

“You’re already a felon, Rosie. Don’t be a homophobic sexual harasser too,” Mr. Shapiro joked.

The Republican-controlled Senate passed its version of tax reform on Tuesday night, which would lower the corporate tax rate to 21 percent from 35 percent starting Jan. 1.

The House passed the tax-reform package Wednesday, sending the bill to the president’s desk.
