LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles law enforcement officials say they’ve arrest a man who crashed into cars in a stolen airport shuttle and briefly halted traffic on Interstate 405 when he ran across lanes.

Los Angeles Police Officer Sal Ramirez says the man stole an unoccupied Holiday Inn Express van late Tuesday near the Los Angeles International Airport.

The Los Angeles Times reports the thief crashed the shuttle into cars before getting onto the freeway.

According to records from the California Highway Patrol, the man pulled over on the freeway and ran across the lanes while carrying a stick and rake.

Los Angeles police Lt. Joseph Sanchez says the man was arrested and no one was harmed in the incident.

He says the man was under the influence of narcotics.
