President Trump on Tuesday denied ever considering rescinding Supreme Court Justice Neil M. Gorsuch’s nomination.

The Washington Post reported Monday Mr. Trump considered withdrawing the nomination after believing Justice Gorsuch wouldn’t be loyal to him, but the president said Tuesday it was “fake news.”

“I never even wavered and am very proud of him and the job he is doing as a Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. The unnamed sources don’t exist!” Mr. Trump tweeted.

The president has often touted his appointment of Justice Gorsuch to the high court as one of his top accomplishments early in his administration.
