MIDDLE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - The new owners of a New Jersey country club say they plan to renovate the 100-year-old golf venue.
The Press of Atlantic City reports a group of members recently purchased the Wildwood Golf and Country Club. Club president Bob Noel says the group decided to update the club after consulting with industry experts and receiving feedback from patrons.
The country club has hired the Princeton-based management firm Morningstar Golf and Hospitality to help with renovations. Morningstar president Matthew Galvin says the firm will improve the club grounds and expand membership options.
The country club plans to change its name to The Shore Club in spring 2018.
