The grass at FedEx Field during Sunday’s matchup looked drastically different than it did for the Washington Redskins’ previous home game on Thanksgiving.

As it turns out, Washington installed a new playing surface after the NFLPA consistently voiced their complaints, according to Pro Football Talk.

The website reported the player’s union “continually pushed” for the field to be replaced, even though it was passing inspection.

A day after the Redskins’ win on Thanksgiving, Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins criticized the field by saying it didn’t look like “a professional NFL field probably should.”
