LAS VEGAS (AP) - The first scheduled nonstop flight to Las Vegas from Brazil will take place next year.
McCarran International Airport on Monday announced that LATAM Airlines Brazil will start a new seasonal summer service between Las Vegas and Guarulhos Airport in Sao Paulo.
The flights to Las Vegas will operate Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Returning flights to Sao Paulo will depart Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
The new service will start June 21 and end Aug. 30.
Clark County Aviation Director Rosemary Vassiliadis says Brazil has long been among the destination’s “most sought-after markets.”
She says McCarran recently increased capacity for international arrivals and is working to expand amenities, including duty-free retail and a first-class airport lounge.
More than 200 nonstop international flights arrive at the airport every week.
