Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci said Monday that President Trump will actually win more seats in the 2018 midterm if he communicates with the American people on his economic agenda.

“This is a unique situation where because of the president’s economic agenda, if he goes out there and he uses his great salesmanship and his communication skills, I think he’s going to win more and keep more congressional members than people predict,” Mr. Scaramucci said on Fox News.

Mr. Scaramucci served 11 days on the White House staff, but was fired after a profanity-laced interview with the New Yorker directed at some of his colleagues. He is still reportedly close with Mr. Trump, having known him for several years prior to either entering politics.

When asked what the president’s greatest achievement has been so far, Mr. Scaramucci said national security, adding he thinks Mr. Trump will continue to accomplish a great deal in this area.

“I think he’s going to get something together with the Chinese and the North Koreans, but he’s also been very strategic with the Middle East,” Mr. Scaramucci said. “When he finally unfolds that plan, you’ll see an opportunity there to have lasting peace.”

Mr. Trump has made containing North Korea’s nuclear capability a major issue for him, as well as finding peace between the Palestinians and Israel.
