LANDOVER — Washington Redskins linebacker Ryan Anderson will undergo an MRI after suffering a knee injury in Sunday’s 20-15 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

Anderson, a rookie drafted out of Alabama in the second round, was hurt in the second half. He’ll receive the MRI on Monday.

The Redskins, though, came out relatively clean compared to last week’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers and other games this year. Defensive back Bashaud Breeland also suffered an injury to an AC joint in his shoulder, but returned to the game.

Washington had three key starters inactive on Sunday, with left tackle Trent Williams (knee), linebacker Zach Brown (Achilles) and safety Montae Nicholson (concussion) out.

As has been the case with Williams, the Redskins will again discuss whether to shut down their Pro Bowl left tackle, who needs surgery to repair a torn ligament in his knee at some point. They have been taking his injury week-by week.

“I think that with me, if there is a one percent chance that Trent can play, I will leave him up, just in case you get that one percent,” Redskins coach Jay Gruden said. “But we will readdress the situation on Monday. Talk to the doctor and talk to Trent.”
