The Washington Redskins activated kicker Dustin Hopkins off injured reserve and waived kicker Nick Rose, the team announced Saturday.
Hopkins had missed the last two months with a right hip injury, being placed on IR days after Washington’s win over the San Francisco 49ers on Oct. 15. The 27-year-old returned to practice Wednesday.
Rose was a solid substitute, making 90.9 percent (10-of-11) of his field goals in eight games and 90 percent (18-of-20) of his extra points.
Entering in the final year of his career, Hopkins has made 81.8 percent (9-of-11) of his field goals in five games this season.
