Vice President Mike Pence’s trip to Israel has been delayed, CNN reported Thursday.

Mr. Pence was originally scheduled to arrive in Israel on Sunday for an address to the Knesset the following day, but with the tax bill coming close to a final vote, the vice president’s vote may be needed.

The Trump administration has also faced backlash in the region since announcing Jerusalem as the official capital of Israel and plans to move the U.S. Embassy. Palestinian leaders said they would not meet with Mr. Pence during his visit.
