NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - Three people in Norfolk have been fatally shot during a particularly violent day in the waterfront city.

The Virginian-Pilot reports that two men were found fatally shot Tuesday near a couple of abandoned vehicles along Northhampton Boulevard.

The men were found after police responded to an earlier shooting that wounded a teenager. Officer Daniel Hudson says investigators did not immediately know if the shootings might be related.

The newspaper reports that another man died earlier Tuesday after a chaotic shootout involving three or four gunmen in a residential neighborhood. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The identities of the three victims were not immediately released by authorities. Police have not reported any arrests.
